Population of approximately 4.1 million spread over the two main islands, North and South. The land mass is about the same size as the UK with a highly urbanised population with around 72% of the residents population living in urban  entities. The population is heavily concentrated in the northern half of the North Island when the remaining population spread evenly between the southern half of the North Island and the South Island.
